About

What is this?

Three questions at a time. Give your answer, guess how everyone else answered, then see how close you were. It shows how well your intuition about people holds up.

What the numbers mean

Percentages are tallies of people who answered on this site. Respondents choose to take part, so countries and age groups are unevenly represented. This is not a poll and does not describe any population as a whole.

For questions about times or amounts, the “average (approx.)” treats open-ended options such as “2am or later” as a single value, so it is a rough figure. An option that is not an amount, such as “I don’t commute”, is left out of the average.

Results are shown from the first response. Below 30 responses they are marked as provisional and shown with their count; guesses are not scored and no figures by country or age are given. From 30 responses, a question’s overall result is open to everyone on its page. See the methodology for details.

Privacy

No sign-up is needed. Country, age and gender are optional and used only for comparisons. Groups smaller than 30 are never shown, and combinations that would reveal a small group by subtraction are hidden too.

When you first answer, your country is filled in from where your connection comes from, so your answers can count toward it. Only the country is saved with your answers, not the address. You can change or clear it on the You page.

If you turn on notifications, the address your browser gives for sending them is saved with your answers. It is used only to tell you when a question you answered has enough responses, and it is deleted when you turn notifications off or delete your data.

We don’t ask about politics, religion, health, income or other sensitive topics.

We use three cookies: one ties your answers to this device instead of a login, one remembers the language you chose, and one remembers the questions you skipped. None is used for ads or tracking.

You can delete your answers and profile at any time from the You page. They are removed from the totals too.

To use the same answers on another device, make a one-time link on the You page. Whoever opens that link can use your answers and profile, so keep it to yourself.

Only if you send a “compare with a friend” link, your answers to those 10 questions are shown to people who open it and answer the same 10.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how the site is used. It sets no cookies and does not track individuals. We also count how often things like the share buttons are pressed, as daily totals only, with no record of who pressed them.

To stop automated programs from flooding the answers, your first answer is checked with Cloudflare Turnstile.

Uncensus is for people aged 16 and over.
